Fasten off leaving a generous tail. Thread tail through yarn needle and sew through the front loops only of the last round and pull to close.

Bum

Continuing from closing off the body, thread needle through the centre of the bottom and out the back in between rounds 8 and 9.

Now thread back into the middle of round 15 and out the back again into the same spot between rounds 8 and 9 and out again in the middle of round 15.

Next, pull tight to fasten yarn and create a bum. Shape the bum with your hands. If required, thread through one more time and tighten.

Lastly, pull tight, weave around the underside of the body to secure bum, make a double knot close to the body, cut the yarn tail and push into the body with yarn needle.

Mouth

Thread the black yarn onto the yarn needle and embroider a grumpy mouth on your grumpy bum frog.

Start by inserting your needle anywhere at the back of the body and coming out the front of the body in between rounds 4 and 5 about 3 stitches from the centre of the left eye.

Next, pull enough yarn through and insert 4 stitches to the right between rounds 4 and 5 and 3 stitches from the centre of the right eye making sure you have an even number of stitches on either side of the mouth, adjust if necessary.

Then push needle out above the middle of your mouth thread in between rounds 3 and 4.

Now loop needle under the mouth thread and insert back into the same stitch pulling up the mouth to create a frown.

Finally, push needle out the back of the body in the same stitch as the initial entry point. Tie a double knot, cut the yarn off about 1-2cm from the knot and push into the body with the yarn needle.
