Hi there!

Slow and steady wins the race, right? As a follow up from our recent free pattern for a low-sew baby sea turtle, today we’re excited to announce our latest pattern – the adorable land-dwelling cousin of the sea turtle, it’s our Baby Tortoise Friend!

Much like the Baby Turtle Friend, the Baby Tortoise Friend requires very little sewing, and is arguably even easier to complete. With its taller shell and adorable stubby legs to replace fins, the finished result is just as adorable.

Whether you’re looking for an easy-win project, a quick gift idea for someone special, or you’re a beginner looking to learn some new techniques, this pattern is for you. So grab your hooks and your yarn, and let’s bring this little cutie to life!

Assembly

Holding the head upright, ensuring the eyes are in line with the body, sew the head from roughly round 6 to round 9 at the front of the body. If desired, use pins to hold the head in place while sewing, to ensure a more even result.

Your baby tortoise friend is now complete. Enjoy!
